It’s great to have science back up what we practitioners can tell by our own personal experience. So many common everyday health problems could be eliminated with regular exercise and yoga is something most people can do at their own pace.
it certainly can, and you mentioned one type of problem that yoga can especially help-back pain. Yoga can help to straighten the back and keep it in good alignment.
