yoga outside

on May 28, 2012

In this fabulous weather what better than taking your yoga practice outside.  On Saturday I was fortunate enough to attend a yoga day with Robin Lipsey and Hazel Faithfull two great yoga teachers in Oxford.  Yesterday I did my own practice in my garden.  And then this evening took m yown class out onto the green behind the village hall in the shade of a beautiful tree.

Sun Salutations feel amazing when you look up through the leaves of a tree,  and Earth Salutations feel even more grounding when you can really feel the ground beneath your feet.  Tree balance becomes more challenging on the uneven surface.  Your whole practice is fresh and new.

If you haven’t tried it, then do whilst you can … yoga in your garden … a treat for the summer!

Yoga makes me really fit and healthy. Aside from the relaxation benefits that i gained from yoga, it also helps me to become very relatively calm and very focused in life. ;:**`
